#4 Vet in Hungerford, Berkshire
Hamilton Equine Veterinary Practice Limited describes itself (on its website) as an independently owned ambulatory equine veterinary practice, established in 2023, providing care principally for Thoroughbred racehorses. The latest reviews available to us, however, repeatedly refer to “Hambleton(s) / Hambleton Equine Clinic” and include examples such as colic surgery and care for a miniature Shetland pony, which doesn’t neatly match an ambulatory-only, racehorse-focused setup—so it’s worth clarifying what facilities/services are actually being provided under this listing.

Not a great experience, there not upfront with there pricing I was told I needed to pay x amount upfront in FULL for a very straight forward simple procedure then sent another bill in post asking for more money. The receptionist told me I was charged more for the vet waiting but I never at any point asked him too. Then the manager said that’s not the case. It’s all very confusing and feels like they will just say anything and contradict each other to get more money out of you. Disappointed

My 23 year old boy had colic while I was on holiday up in Northumberland luckily a friend spotted he wasn’t quite right and called the vets, they came very quickly to see him out of hours as I hot footed it home as fast as possible, Cameron was very thorough and professional even calling me with updates on Walter as I drove home and due to his fast response Walters made a full recovery, I can’t thank Cameron enough for the care he gave my pride and joy, he might be old but he’s certainly not ready to leave me yet! Thankfully…. Kind Regards Sarah

Thank you to all at Hambleton Equine Clinic. Life saving colic surgery performed on my miniature Shetland pony as a last resort. The team have cared for my pony as if he was their own and their main focus throughout has been minimising discomfort. Keeping me updated with daily phone calls very lucky to have this excellent clinic down the road.
