I sadly had to put my dog to sleep, I rang the vet during the day, the receptionist was very helpful, kind, explained the procedure, and made me an appointment. Upon arrival the receptionist checked us in and we saw the vet on time. The vet was lovely, he explained what would happen, took his time, showed compassion,care and made the procedure stress free. After it was done it was back to reception, were they again were great, gave me time to lay my dog in the car. With an offer to pay at a later date. Which I declined. Important if you have a pet

I typically would never write a bad review as I think those people have too much time on their hands, but this has been playing on my mind for months and has made me not want to go back. A few months ago I went into the vets reception area to pick up my dog’s prescription, as my mum was not able to so she asked me. When I arrived at reception, there were 11 staff members behind the desk and I thought maybe I was in the wrong place, the way they all looked at me. All the women looked at me at the same time, like I’d done something wrong by walking into reception. When I did get closer, nobody said hello or how can I help they just stared at me quite intimidatingly waiting for me to say something, so I did and I received the package fine, but no smiles. I’m not sure if maybe it’s because they don’t recognise me or the time I came, but I checked google for what time they shut after and I was still on time and had 2 hours before they shut. I don’t want to complain but as a young woman walking into a group of people at the same time, looking at me like I’d done something wrong or had something on my face, this was really confusing and intimidating and plays on my mind now as to why I was treated like that.

Very professional and experienced staff. Easy parking. Easy pet registration.

Great friendly staff here. They helped me out at very short notice with a prescription my local vets (in Swindon) could not dispense. Really happy and would recommend to others.

What a caring and professional team at Donnington Grove Veterinary Group in Newbury! 🐾 We had an emergency with our cat, who had a nasty bite on his tail, and the team were simply amazing. Amber, Val, and the vet who assisted us were so kind, patient, and efficient. They managed to fit us in with an emergency slot and gave our cat the best care possible. The service was friendly, the atmosphere calm and reassuring, and the location easy to get to when time mattered most. Thanks to their quick action and expert care, our cat has now fully recovered and is back to his playful self. We are so grateful to the team at Donnington Grove Veterinary Group — highly recommend them to anyone in need of a trusted, compassionate veterinary practice in Newbury.

Have been using this vets for almost 5 years now. They’ve been great throughout including when my elderly cat had to be put to sleep just after Christmas Day - I called and they saw me within 15 mins. Today I dropped an injured wood pigeon to them and they quickly took him so he wasn’t suffering. Really appreciate the friendly team there. Thank you to the team.

They are professional and caring. We have been using this practice for many years, and in the last couple of years our dog has undergone some major surgeries, and received excellent care all-round. In particular, many thanks to vet Daniela.

Many visits with my senior girl, all were pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, yesterday my girl crossed over the rainbow bridge. We were provided with such understanding and patience. Her passing was peaceful and I felt as though the vet (can’t remember her name) did an incredible job at allowing us time to say goodbye properly. Afterward, there wasn’t a rush to pay or sort out details. Which gave me so much relief as through my tears it would’ve been difficult! Thank you to all the staff for making this horrible time more bearable.
