From the latest reviews, owners most often describe friendly, welcoming staff and vets who take time to listen; there are also specific examples of intensive day-stay care (including dental work with updates during the day). A minority of recent feedback raises concerns about standards and fees, including one complaint of a missed diagnosis and being asked to pay another consultation fee at a return visit.

Really shocked in how much annual boosters and kennel cough have risen in price and with no warning until I came to pay for them. The vets around the corner are £50 cheaper. Not impressed

My German Shepherd was carefully handled, which is not easy. Very pleased that she has turned the corner after appropriate treatment at very short notice at a weekend. No hanging about either which was greatly appreciated. Thank you

GKG are an excellent vet practice and we love the monthly subscription thing, too. Barney is fond of everyone there and loves the treats he gets when he visits. Always a very positive result.

I’m very disappointed with the care my cat recently received from Alice Kim at GKG Vets. My cat was seen for an issue that was misdiagnosed, and since then his condition has worsened — he’s now developed an abscess that could likely have been prevented with proper treatment the first time. During the initial visit, the vet didn’t even carry out basic checks such as temperature or heartbeat, yet when I returned, I was told I’d need to pay another consultation fee despite the problem not being properly addressed in the first place. I’ve been using GKG for over 30 years, but since the practice changed ownership, I’ve noticed a clear decline in standards of care and customer service. Sadly, after this experience, I won’t be taking my pets back. Very poor service — especially from Alice Kim. I’d strongly advise other pet owners to be cautious.

They gave me some advice that saved my dogs life, I thank everyday my dog is still alive and with me, its a real shame they turned nasty by adding a huge BiLL and expecting a homeless guy to pay it all at once !

Richard is the best vet for us. His warm, empathetic demeanour is inviting and endearing. He is also extremely skilled in his trade.
